Established 264 years ago, dedicated to the tea industry
Our family has been in the tea business for generations since 1760 in the mountain village of Shirakawa in Uji.
We are currently the 10th generation to take over the business.
At Kojima Seicha, we are committed to the traditional hand-rolling method that has been handed down for over 200 years, and with the support of experienced pickers, we produce only the highest quality Uji tea.
We continue to focus on hand-picking and the finest hand-picking methods.
We continue to grow 11 superior varieties using organic fertilizer, minimal pesticides, and hand-picking, conducting daily research and cultivating them, and rolling them with the latest techniques.
We are proud to sell you high-quality, premium Uji tea, worthy of the name "Uji," a famous tea producing region in Kyoto.
Message from Owner
Due to recent global warming, there are many years in which the tea industry faces new tea season in conditions it has never experienced before.
However, I believe that it is our mission, inherited from our predecessors, to continue to improve our production and manufacturing techniques so that we can adapt to any environment.
We would like to provide safe and delicious tea to all of you who love tea.
